The Business Objects User Group UK (BOUG) and the SAP UK & Ireland User Group (SUGUKI) have announced that they are establishing a joint working party to examine the opportunities for closer collaboration between the two groups in order to better serve the needs of their respective members in the current business environment.

Terms of reference

1. To determine the future needs of BOUG and SUGUKI members with respect to user group services with particular reference to the impact of the SAP/Business Objects merger.
2. To identify possible methods for the two groups to coordinate their activities to better serve the needs of the members.
3. To evaluate the impact of each of the options identified with respect to:
   1. Legal and financial structures.
   2. Administrative and operational activities.
   3. The relationship with SAP Business Objects.
   4. The relationship with any other interested parties e.g. other user groups and partners.
4. To make recommendations for future collaboration that can be put to the respective membership of both groups for ratification.
